Chia pudding is one of my favorite summer breakfasts and this Rose and Hibiscus Tea Chia Pudding hits the spot! Delicate floral notes simmered into creamy nondairy milk, this chia pudding is the perfect breakfast with all of your favorite fruits.
It is hot outside! So let’s uncook everything, shall we?
It just hit 100 degrees here in Philly. The LAST thing I want to eat when it is this hot out is something warm, especially for breakfast. However, this tea infused chia pudding is the one thing I will turn my stove on for because it is just that GOOD.
Don’t worry. It’s only for five minutes.

The best and easiest dessert with a bit of a twist, these Chocolate Peanut Butter Miso Truffles will be the star of your snack or dessert spread. It sounds a little strange to add miso, but trust me on this one. Five ingredients and thirty minutes separate you from sweet nirvana.
If you know me, you know I am a sucker for a chocolate/peanut butter combo. You might also know that I love a savory moment and adding secret ingredients to things. Well, now I can honestly say that these babies are no longer a secret!
And trust me, you will not want to keep them a secret either!

Festive, easy, and so much fun! I am always a sucker for salt and sweet so buttery pretzel shortbread cookies seemed like the best recipe for your cookie exchange! You can also just eat them yourself. I promise I will not judge.
We are overdue for a cookie recipe! Are you excited?
I am such a snacker. If I can find a way to get snacks in while, at the same time, eating dessert, you best believe I am going to do it. Pretzels and shortbread? Salt and chocolate? You best believe I am going to whip it OUT

These tahini truffles with chocolate drizzle taste like halvah. They are seriously the easiest treats to make! Five ingredients, 10 minutes, and a little patience stand between you and chocolate treat nirvana. They are vegan, gluten free, and beyond delicious. Don’t miss that flaky salt on top! Shall we?
If there is one thing I have learned this year, it is that meal prep saves lives. As a graduate student, if I do not have something in my fridge that takes more than five minutes to prepare, I will be eating popcorn for dinner. Not that popcorn for dinner is bad… just not all the time.

An apple cinnamon dream! Apples, almond flour, maple syrup, and spices combine to make the perfect fall treat. Make this paleo apple cider donut mug cake in less than 5 minutes and have apple cider goodness right at your fingertips.
You knew this was coming, didn’t you?
I needed to add in some apple cinnamon flavors for fall ASAP this year. I actually prefer apple to pumpkin but we just went on a major pumpkin/squash binge. Safe to say, this needed correction. But don’t worry. We are back on course with this cider donut mug cake.
My body is ready.

Whipped sweet potato pie stuffed dates are pretty much the non-recipe recipe you didn’t know you needed! A dairy free sweet potato filling gets stuffed into juicy medjool dates before a quick drizzle in melted chocolate. Top with coconut whipped cream, close your eyes, and be taken to fall nirvana.
As a lady with not a whole lot of time (hello midterms!) but with a whole lot of basic-ness in my soul, I am always on the hunt for a quick and delicious no bake treat. Now, I haven’t really dabbled in the no bake dessert life. I am mostly a eat all the popcorn for dinner type of gal. But these sweet potato pie stuffed dates? Oh you better believe I am here for it
So let’s get talking.

There’s really nothing I love more than food that tastes good and is pretty too. It’s not something that’s easily achievable, but in the summer months, the food is really pretty, full of colors, and delicious. I love it. Colorful bowls am I right??
However, usually when it comes to sweet things, you guys know how I do it, chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. It’s pretty obvious though that, even lately I’ve been slowly changing my ways and incorporating more fruit based desserts into my life, I still need to have some chocolate. As you might expect however, I don’t really consider this banana bread a dessert, more like a sweet breakfast or brunch item, but I’ll let you guys decide what course you’d like to serve this with.

Can you say that five times fast?
Don’t ask me why, but I have just never had the knack for baking. I think a lot of it has to do with being impatient and also loving to improvise. In cooking you have a lot more flexibility when it comes to tweaking recipes. A handful of capers or an extra splash of vinegar might make your recipe taste gross but it won’t throw off the chemistry.
As an aside, do not do this with baking soda. It is not the same.

I made you a dessert recipe. In January. It’s true.
Don’t worry though, I made these healthy…ish. They are totally healthy January approved, at least in my book anyway!
Plus, it’s Monday, and we all need a little something sweet to celebrate making it through our first week of 2018.
And yes. I did write 2015, then 2017, before finally settling on 2018. Jeez louise.
