If there is one thing you should love about me, I love a pickle situation. I used to go to falafel places in Israel just to get some pickles. I always get the pickle situation at my favorite hummus place in the city. Heck I put pickled onions on everything. But if you don’t like eggplant, don’t let the title scare you… because you can barely tase the eggplant in said dish.

Resolution of the week: eat more color.
And it starts with these beautiful purple eggplants.
I know eggplant is not the most colorful veggie, but, after a couple of weeks of beige foods, brown foods, and… COOKIES, my body is so ready for a change. While I miss the little baked goods (it was as gluttonous as it was glorious) I can just feel my body cry out for all things veg.

Hey yo! It’s BBQ season!
LEt’s be real, BBQ season is probably my favorite kind of season. It is the time of year when bread, cheese, grilled vegetables, and wine can come together for an acceptable sort of meal. That’s kind of why I like meals in bowls. It makes snacking feel acceptable. Plus, who doesn’t want to curl up with their snacks on the couch?
If you try dong that with a plate, I can tell you from experience it will not end well.
