This pasta recipe really straddles the line between “pasta dish” and “pasta salad,” since it’s great whether you serve the noodles warm or cold. And y’all know I love a good pasta dish! It’s made simply with pasta, lots of cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil and olive oil.

I always love a pantry pasta and this Cabbage and Bowtie Pantry Pasta is one of my childhood favorites. Made with mostly pantry ingredients, it comes together in no time and tastes beyond delicious. It is vegan and GF friendly too!
This whole quarantine life and “avoiding the grocery store” has been so difficult for me. True story.
But what I will say is I am making it work. It’s forcing me to get creative with the stockpile of ingredients that I have on hand. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait for the day when I can go back to my spur of the moment grocery store trips. But in an effort to see things in a positive way, I’m loving my new use what you got motto.
Case in point? This pasta… yes

Spaghetti Squash with Kale Pesto Hummus might be a side dish, an appetizer, or an entree, but it is definitely a home run if you ask me! Once you try hummus on pasta (especially this hummus!) you might not go back!
Quite honestly, now that we are in the throws of December, I am looking for all the cold weather goodness that I can cozy up to a fire to. Well, not exactly if I am honest. More like I’m streaming a yule log on a television set!
Yeah, that is probably more like it.

Y’all, let us just eat this harvest pasta sauce for the rest of our lives? Is that cool?
I love the autumnal harvest pasta sauce from Trader Joe’s. However, that ish has heavy cream, which means I’ll be not feeling so hot if I eat it. So I set off on a quest to copycat the sauce, but take out all the dairy. The pasta sauce has all of your favorite fall flavors, is super cozy, and reinvigorates my love affair with butternut squash so yes, YA KNOW SHE IS A WINNER. It tastes just like the real thing.
How easy was that?

Pretty much the only way I will eat olives, if I’m being honest here is this Chunky Olive Pesto Pasta. Salty pantry based pasta is one of my favorite ways to enjoy summer. Delicious!
I don’t know what it is, but the combination of all the salty olives, capers, and cheese tossed together in olive oil and garlic makes for the most delicious sauce for all the pasta in the land. Could you even imagine… all the pasta in the land? Plus, who doesn’t think a salty week can be made better by having a big old bowl of carbs.
Salty week… see what I did there?

Are you ready for this… because I most definitely am!
One of the funny memories about my childhood is I never had certain foods that I feel everyone else had. My dad loved making Indian food and homemade pizzas for us, but it was not until I was 15 that my parents ever DARED make us a lasagna. My mom said it was because we never liked it or asked for it.
But why anyone would not ask for a cheesy saucy thing is beyond me.

I have the dish you’re going to eat morning, noon and night this week! Because, I’ve been doing it myself.
And just to play it safe, we’ll say the entire rest of spring. Cool? K. I love meals that i can just look in the pantry, with no food in the fridge, and say, “HEY! I can make food outta nothing.” It is the best feeling in the whole wide world.
It is like we’re making magic. Bring me my unicorn.

My heart belongs to this cream sauce… Seriously how have I never made this before?
And I am dying over it. Yes, sure, I die over everything. It’s quite possible my most annoying trait. My mom tells me not EVERYTHING can be amazing. (spoiler alert: it can.)
But this? It’s legit to die over. If you are a fan of cauliflower, I’ll meet you in (dairy free!) cream sauce heaven.

I don’t know if it’s a good thing when someone calls your pasta a salad, but I’ll go with it.
Don’t get me wrong because there is nothing wrong with pasta. As you guys know I am a firm believer in pasta…any day, anytime. But I love loading it up with veggies! Hence, I see Monday as the perfect day for a healthier take on everyone’s favorite Italian pasta dish, carbonara. This pasta is creamy, cheesy, and loaded with squash which I am whole heartedly obsessed with…
I’ve been dying to tell you guys about this recipe for so long now. Or okay, not so long, more like a couple of weeks, but I am just so excited about this recipe because it’s all of my favorite things.
